Master Columbus Andrew Giulio Henderson

Andrew Giulio Henderson is a kind, smart and funny 8 year old with a big heart! He is a big brother to Preston Michael, and proud leader of the family's “Cousin Crew ".   Andrew is currently a third grader at Austin Road Elementary and loves math and social studies! Andrew values family, friends and his community. He also enjoys family game nights, playing video games and watching various sports like soccer and football! He is a rising Scopa champion and loves playing against his favorite opponent and teacher, Nonno Giulio!

Some of Andrew's biggest accomplishments include:

-       Serving as a scout in Cub Scout Troop 371

-       Playing soccer at Joe Palumbo Soccer Club

-       Recipient of the Austin Road Pride Award

-       Vocal Star at Putnam Music

-       Piano player

-       Bocce and Scopa player

-       Swimming and football player

-       Volunteer in community organizations and St. John’s Church

Andrew is a proud patriot and loves America! He is also proud of his Italian heritage and has enjoyed learning about the many traditions of his family. Through his Nonna and Nonno, Andrew learned how to bake and cook various Italian favorites and engages in learning the Italian language. Although Andrew isn't exactly sure what he wants to be when he grows up, he knows he wants to attend Fordham University, and work in a profession where he can help others.

Andrew Giulio cherishes spending time with his Nonno and Nonna, Giulio and Linda Cefaloni, who serve as the President and Corresponding Secretary of the Italian American Club. Andrew is honored and  excited to serve as Mr. Columbus and is looking forward to celebrating during the upcoming Columbus Day Festivities!
